The Italian DJ Soch somehow brings a fresh sound to his latest release, ‘Saturday Lovers’, despite working with an old school, retro sound that maintains freshness at the same time as familiarity. Keyboard parts roll out high register chords, with heavily-treated vocals sitting deep down in the mix which add a strangely infectious interest despite the track avoiding melody in the traditional sense. The piece is the opening track on Skylax Records’ latest release and comes alongside two B-sides and an exciting Analogue Cops remix.
